Burwood City FC Officially Kicks Off the 2025 Season!
On the morning of April 5th, under the bright sunshine at Ballyshannassy Park, Burwood City FC proudly launched its 2025 season. The event was buzzing with energy—young players led with a spirited performance, while local families, volunteers, and supporters gathered to witness this milestone moment for the club.
We were honoured to welcome a number of distinguished guests:
• Football Victoria CEO, Chris Pehlivanis
• Mayor of Whitehorse, Andrew Davenport
• Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Melbourne, Chen Xiaodong, and Cultural Consul Wang Yani
• Liberal Party Chisholm candidate, Dr. Katie Allen
• Shadow Minister for Finance, the Public Service, Senator Jane Hume
• Federal Member for Chisholm, Dr. Carina Garland
At the event, Dr. Katie Allen delivered an exciting announcement:
The Liberal Party has committed $6 million to fully upgrade Ballyshannassy Park, including the construction of a brand-new clubhouse for BCFC!
Since its founding in 2018, Burwood City FC has grown from a small local club into a football family with over 400 registered players. We believe that football is more than just a sport—it is a powerful force for connecting people, cultures, and communities.
We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of our generous sponsors. Your ongoing support empowers us to keep moving forward and gives our young players the opportunity to chase their dreams in a better environment.
